944turbo Drivetrain Removal

This 1989 944 turboS was purchaced from a customer who rolled it.  It was still drivable, but not fixable.  The nose went into the 944turbo Cup Car.
The engine went into a customer's 1986 944 turbo, the torque tube into another (that was fun!) and the trans went to John Crosby in Texas.

If you have ever wondered how the factory installs the drivetrain in a 944 (or turbo) in any reasonable amount of time, this is how it can be taken apart:

In the rear:

Unbolt the trans hangar, rear suspension locating bolts (only 6) brake lines, emergency brake and shock absorbers, and, if appropriate, ABS and brake sensor connections.

In the front unbolt the A-arm rear mounts, strut tops, brake lines, ABS/Wear sensors, steering shaft, water hoses, and electrical harness (pull complete from the brain).

Then just lift the car off the assembly!  This takes maybe 5-6 hours.  In your dreams!
