Description and details as follows:

Information on these cars from Porsche's web site

Just completed a service in Florida to fix a couple minor things including hoses and new belts. Previously owner had the car maintained full time in Texas. I bought the car with about 74 hours and I think it has 86 hours now (has an hour meter). Has only hit the track about 8 times since I have owned it. No issues.

Full AIM system with GPS. Transponder installed and will stay with the car. Small normal dings from racing, small estimate 4" dent near passenger rear wheel well from previous owner. Spare brake pads I will throw in as well. Front rotors are new. Has RSR carbon fiber intake and RSR brake ducts installed.  Fuel port installed. Wired for Motorola radios.

Car is currently located in Florida (Daytona area), however it is headed to Virginia (Norfolk) to be stored until sale as I have bought another car and this one will be parked until it is sold.

The car is red body, red cage and is (previous owner relayed this) one of only 2 Cup's that were done in red. The car is wrapped with black/red/white overlays for numbers only.

Everything works. Early year cup car motor last to 120-150 hours or more depending on who you ask so this car is not even close to rebuild time. I put around a dozen hours on it across 9 weekends.

Seller Notes:"Minor normal racing wear and tear. One approx 4" dent near passenger rear wheel well that was on the car when I bought it and wasn't worthy of needing fixed."

Also included:

Bill of sale and include 996 Cup manuals and all logbooks, service documents, import documents from when it was imported from Europe.

This is a purpose built 996 Cup car and was never a street car, there is no title and the car is NOT street legal :)

Updated to 2005-spec wiong with CF Gurney-Flap

Updated with nose exits.

Aim Dash-Datalogger.  Notice silver wheel below steering shaft that records steering input angle.

Aim includes GPS that handles and predicts current lap times.

Cool-suit system circulates water over blocks of ice then to a vest the driver wears.

Wiring:   I need to compare this to 99 996 harness to see how different thay are..  I have a 2000 supercup/world challenge motor that is set up for the same 88-pin brain.

Fire system sprays interior, engine compartment and under hood...do not pull red lever!

Brakes.  350mm GT3 cup. These were upgraded from the 4-piston style used in 2000/2001 (similar to 996tt)

Ducting!

Air jack and optima battery.  What I thought was interesting is the relay operated battery cutoff switch. Air jack nozzle can be seen in upper left corner on aluminum bracket.

2005-Spec RS intake with air dam.  Note the air-temp sensor to the upper right and the speical odly shaped oval air filter.  I expect that and the carbon fiber surround were pricey!

This is how the car looked when I got it with flat black wrap.  Started peelign that off the minute it got home.

  Description

2000 Model Porsche 996 GT3 Cup that was run in 5 Formula 1 support races in 2000. Unlike many Cup cars, this car has Farnbacher professional racing provenance in Europe. I also think this is one of 2 original Guards Red cars built by Porsche in 2000 - most are white. This is a factory-built Porsche race car from the tub, cage, built-in air jacks, etc up, not a converted street car. I have all the logbooks and paperwork from the original Wagenpass in 2000, to the EPA/DOT importation papers, to the current PCA and SCCA logbooks. It has current PCA logbook and harness and safety equipment are current for SCCA and NASA competition, all you need is to go through tech. The car had a PMNA engine and gearbox in July 2004 and has 50 total running hours verifiable via Hobbs meter - beware optimistic hour estimates in other Cup cars - they probably count up races and underestimate total running time. There has never been any tub damage to this car and it has the the following updates and/or new parts:  •New late model front calipers

This car is a very strong early 996 Cup - In a recent visit to Sebring it ran 2:15.5 and am confident there was more in it; at Road America it  ran 2:21.2 with well used tires. It has turned 1:15s at its home track MotorSport Ranch on the 1.7 course. It has been professionally maintained by Topp Racing here at MotorSport Ranch and can be seen and driven (only for very serious buyers who place a deposit) at MotorSport Ranch by appointment.
