Turbo Flare Installation

In this segment we fit the front and rear flares.

External appearance will be as per 1994 RSR 3.8, similar to the tealamonstre

Here's the car after initial fit, with the 1974 narrow fenders  We pre-fitted the rear flares then spray painted the
gap to visualize how much of the old body would be cut out.

Here's the narrow body

Now with the factory 930 flares in place

At this stage the flares are held on with sheet metal screws. The best thing to use for line-up is a pair of factory 930 spats.  They will give the proper distance from the tailight housing.  If you try lining them up with an after market bumper you'll go nuts, because the bumpers can be mounted at any depth and are generally not symmetrical.

The fit on the factory flares is really amazing.

Factory 930 rear spats are used for alignment purposes.  This ensures the fenders
have the proper fore-aft positioning.

I mounted the flares as high as possible on the car.  This gives a bit more tire clearance.

The front flares were mounted later, after the driver's fender was de-rusted.
