Answers to questions:

Q:  Is the suspension the same as a 944turbo?  Is it a stick?  Why do you own so many cars:

A:Suspension - stock except 944turbo Koni Yellow struts and shocks
which were hand me downs from a car that got real serious. The suspension is essentially the same as the Non-S 1987-1988 944turbo. I.e. reasonable brakes, etc.  I bought it from a guy who wanted out of it in a big way in December.  The heater core was leaking, the top was shot (no back window) the shocks were beat and the tires were on their last tread.

No limited slip, S2 has a short gearbox.  It is not as fast as my 951S, but appreciably faster and torquier than a NA 944.

Lots of the stuff got replaced with take-offs (tires, shocks, etc) and it has a replacement heater core (what a job! book is 13 hours!).  It is in very good but not perfect condition.  The top was new in March and professionally installed.  In the interim it was stored indoors so the interior did not suffer.

It's a nice car, and my wife and I drive it 3-4 times a week. I must admit I will not be heartbroken if no one buys it because i like it that much.

Mechanically it is very nice, no bugs.  Driver's window is a bit flaky, but I'm happy to fix that, it just doesn't bother me enough to warrant the time.  Roof is electric. AC also needs recharged but happy to make that work if need
be or adjust price for that.  I never use it, just put down the top.

Anyway, if you want to take a look at it and you get serious you I can put it up on the lift for you and go over it from end to end.  You'll find that I will be more than honest because I know where to look for bugs in these cars.

I built a garage for working on MY cars about 3.5 years ago.  All the sudden I had Customers?!?!  Now I work on other people's car here 2-30 hours a week, hold PCA tech sessions, etc.  Web site has some serious depth so if you have a fast connection check it out.  I also teach Engine Design and Vehicle Dynamics as U of D (PhD in MechE) which may explain my lunacy.

I am kind of the local 944/951 guru but also do a fair amount of work on
911s and have built half a dozen or so race cars form the ground up (or in process) over the last few years.

If you have any Porsche connections feel free to check up on me.  I've been in the club for 15 years and been president etc. and have been treasurer of Delaware PCA for the last 5 years.

Anyway, hope the info helps.  If you get serious I'm sure I can take care of any concerns you have, but you have to fall in love with the car first otherwise it just doesn’t matter.
